A New Update to an Award-Winning Technology:
Music Case 3.0 from scorio now available in the App Store

(Karlsruhe, October 2012) During this year‘s Frankfurt Book Fair, the Electronic Publisher Group (Arbeitskreis Elektronisches Publizieren, AKEP) awarded the illustrious Red Cube for the foremost achievement in the area of electronic publishing to the Schott Pluscore Sing-Along app, developed by scorio. This application provides for greater score interactivity, letting singers and instrumentalists adjust scores to better accommodate their individual rehearsal needs. Music Case 3.0 from scorio employs the award-winning flexiScore®-technology, developed by scorio. The new update of this iPad-application not only offers improved performance, it also provides an expanded database. Starting now, Music Case 3.0 will also be offering for purchase well-known opera arias by, among others, Verdi, Donizetti, Bizet and Wagner. The pieces are not simply displayed statically. A cursor moves along through the piece so you always know where you are in the score. Moreover, the user can adjust the tempo and instrumentation individually, regulate the pitch level during playback and change the concert pitch. Plus, it also allows you to transpose a score into a different key. Another option on Music Case 3.0 lets you mute individual parts, which provides for greater versatility and flexibility during rehearsal. Music Case 3.0 includes four free sample scores and is available for a one-time fee of $ 3.99. Opera arias can be acquired individually as "in-app-purchase".

scorio‘s Music Case 3.0 transforms any iPad into a personal music library. The application draws on three different sheet-music resources:

• Scores from prestigious music publishers (via in-app-purchase)
• Self-composed scores from your own scorio-account
• All scores available through public search at scorio.com

scorio Music Case 3.0 currently offers some 60 well-known opera arias by, among others, Verdi, Donizetti, Bizet and Wagner, via in-app-purchase. Additional arias as well as other works will be available soon.

A special feature of scorio Music Case is the interactive score function. The flexiScore®-technology developed by scorio, allows singers and instrumentalists to modify a score to suit their individual rehearsal needs. Scores, set with flexiScore®, are automatically scaled to fit the display-size of your iPad, with page-breaks adjusted accordingly. In addition, the user is able to set page-turns as desired or have the Air Turn® foot-pedal function turn pages automatically. The integrated MIDI-Studio allows you to control the tempo during playback and adjust both the pitch level and chamber pitch. If you want to work on an individual part, Music Case 3.0 lets you mute that part so that you can practice it yourself. And a cursor automatically follows along during playback so that you always know exactly where you are in the score.

An internet connection is required for downloading and customizing scores. Scores can be used offline once they have been saved to Music Case. To load self-composed pieces from scorio.com onto Music Case, you will first need to set up a free scorio user account. In-app-purchases and scores obtained via scorio searches are available without a scorio account.
