Schott Music und scorio presents the new music-App: Schott Pluscore Sing-Along
The innovative music application for singers and opera lovers will be launched at the Musikmesse 2012

(Frankfurt/March 2012) Within the scope of the Musikmesse 2012, Schott Music and scorio introduces the mutually developed App "Schott Pluscore Sing-Along" for iPad. The App is a combination of sheet music and audio. It provides interactive access to well-known opera arias and other song repertoire for the first time. The user can read the sheet music on the iPad and listen to a recording of the piece at the same time. A tact cursor supports the score during reading. Tempo and sound can be changed at your discretion. Each piece can be transposed; individual voices or soundtracks can be turned on and off. You can also record and play back your own interpretations.

Developing this App is the beginning of a long-term cooperation between the music publisher Schott Music and the music notation portal scorio.com. "Developmental spirit, musical expertise and our love for music connect our companies. We would like to discover new markets and distribution channels to distribute digital music together", stated Johannes Feulner, founder and managing director of scorio. "We are re-inventing sheet music with our Schott Pluscore App. Our partner scorio supports us in preparing our music for the multi-media and adapt to the most current technical developments", stated Dr. Peter Hanser-Strecker, publisher and managing director of Schott Music.

The Schott Pluscore App Sing-Along will be available at the AppStore by Apple in April. Additional Pluscore Apps for solo instruments are in the planning stages. You will find additional information at www.schott-music.com/pluscore and scorio.com.

About scorio.com
After studying computer science and musical education in Karlsruhe, Johannes Feulner became one of the co-founders of the software company,
fun communications GmbH. Together with the company, he has been playing a significant role in developing services for major Internet service providers for more than 16 years. Himself a music teacher and hobby composer, he always missed a means of easily writing music online, and so he founded the music portal www.scorio.com.  As a link between the worlds of music und information technology, Johannes Feulner is exploiting the long-standing technological expertise of fun communications to develop scorio.com. On January 1st, 2012, scorio.com was made into its own limited company (GmbH) with already over 33,000 registered users. In total, the members have written – and, in part, even published – more than 14,000 scores. In the long term he would like to establish www.scorio.com as the central portal for writing music on the Internet.
